Summary:
Psellos wrote a treatise based on texts referring to the Incarnation, directed from Michael VII to the sultan Malik-Shah. The latter, according to the text, had shown interest in Christian doctrine. Psellos' plan for the text contained two parts: Old Testament prophecies of the Incarnation and pagan prefigurings of Christ. Only a part of the first section has survived, through damage to the ms in which it is preserved
