Summary:
Katakalon Kekaumenos happened to be doux of Antioch when Michael VI was proclaimed. He was removed from office and replaced by Michael's nephew Michael as magistros and doux of Antioch. The latter was given the surname Ouranos, so that he might appear to be descended from the famous old general Ouranos.
