Romanos won Cappadocians under Alyates & many Franks, but Michael VII sent exiled Robert Crépin

Summary:
Both sides in the civil war increased in strength. Romanos Diogenes received strong reinforcements from Cappadocia under Theodoros Alyates, together with many Frankish troops. On the other side, Michael VII recalled Robert Crépin from exile at Abydos, bestowed upon him gifts and honours to recover his loyalty, and sent him with others to join the army of Konstantinos Doukas
