Psellos wrote a much-delayed monody on Michael Radenos

Summary:
Michael Radenos was a high provincial functionary who fell seriously ill and was brought back to the capital to die. After a time, Psellos wrote a monody for him, having delayed it for some time in order to assuage the pain of his grief.
