Summary:
Guiscard took the fleet, aiming at Butrinto. He reached Brindisi, planning to cross from there, but hearing that the way from Otranto was shorter, crossed there to Avlon, and then went along the coast with army and fleet to Butrinto. There he joined his sons Guy and Roger, but left them at Butrinto, while he took the whole fleet to Kerkyra, which had rebelled after its previous capture
