Summary:
The pattriarch William of Messines consecrated Fulcher of Angouleme as archbishop of Tyre, and he held the see energetically and well for twelve years. Immediately after consecration he decided to go to Rome for the pallium, and eventually succeeded, despite plots and violence from William and his accomplices
