Zonaras 18.9.26 He had read through the entirety of divine Scripture and knew not only the text set out but also the deeper divine meaning ἅπαν δὲ τὸ τῆς θείας Γραφῆς βάθος ἀναλεξάμενος, οὐ τὸ ἐκκείμενον μόνον ἠπίστατο, ἀλλὰ καὶ τὸ βαθὺ καὶ θειότερον.
