Certainty: 2 Expulsion of Theodora from palace to Petrion
Theodora lived for a time with Zoe after the latter became empress and shared the throne with her in some degree. She did not share acclamations with her, was honoured differently and enjoyed the splendour in the palace after her. But Zoe became jealous even of this secondary honour. She persuaded Romanos to remove Theodora from the palace, cut her hair and imprison her, but to make her prison most fine-looking - one of the more august imperial abodes (the Petrion). This was immediately done. It was said that Zoe tonsured her sister herself. Theodora was contented with the decision to exile her, and upset neither by her change of dress nor her separation from Zoe
