Arrival of a Venetian squadron at Jaffa, welcomed with difficulty by a sick Godfrey

Summary:
A strong Venetian fleet, led by a bishop and (the son of) the Doge, put into Jaffa and was welcomed by Godfrey, who had just returned from a punitive raid. He welcomed them to his guest house, accepted their gifts, but had to send them away because of his illness, hoping to get to know them the next day. In fact, he grew worse and had to return to Jerusalem
